How do I arrange a care service with Holistic Social Care?
Contact HSC to make an appointment for us to have a chat with you about how we can work with you. We are happy to make an appointment at our office or visit you at your home.
Will I be able to choose a carer?
Absolutely. We understand the importance of having a carer you understand and build a rapport with. Therefore, at HSC we aim to provide you with a carer that suits your needs, matches your personality and care requirements.
How do you select your carers, and do they do any training?
Here at HSC, we choose carers who can provide you a highly professional care service, demonstrate a passion to assist others to live as independently as possible.
All our carers are rigorously screened to ensure their suitability for the role. To be part of the HSC care team our carers go through an in-depth pre-employment check. This includes but not limited to, references which are carefully checked and an enhanced criminal background check.
All carers go through training, which is ongoing throughout their employment with HSC.
What tasks will my carer be doing?
A support plan is created with all the care instructions you provide us with. This then becomes the work list of each day. These tasks can include helping clean your home, cook dinners, go grocery shopping and aid with personal care such as bathing.
Do I have to pay for my care?
The care and support we provide is usually funded by the local authority or the NHS, local authority funding is means tested where NHS funding is usually free at the point of service. Another alternative is to fully fund the care costs privately. For advice and further information on how your care can be funded then please contact us.
What if I want to change anything about my care plan?
We understand that your care needs may change from time to time. Therefore, we carry out frequent reviews to ensure you are happy with the service you are getting or to make any improvements to the service should you require it.
